Resources to help families

We hope you are doing well and staying healthy during this difficult time. There is no doubt that we are all being affected by this nasty virus in some way. We hope that this message helps those in need and provides an opportunity for those in good shape to help others. The reality is that many families in our community are losing jobs and are experiencing financial hardships because of sickness or children being at home more often.

Below are some resources being provided for our community:

Hygiene kits for Bartow County/Cartersville City School students:
To supplement food going home to all Backpack Buddies recipients, we are committed to making personal hygiene kits available to every student in need.
You can drop off toilet paper, kids toothpaste, bar soap and travel size shampoo at Crosspoint City Church (325 Old Mill Rd, Cartersville, GA 30120) from 8:00 am-7:00 pm, Monday through Thursday (March 30th through April 2nd) in the marked bin behind the building.

Dinner TOGO:
Hot meals are served every night from 6:00-7:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church (183 W Main St, Cartersville, GA 30120) in a drive thru setting for anyone that is hungry and needs food assistance. Limited delivery options are available. We have been serving 500+ meals per day and expect that to increase very soon.
